Gemini is excited to introduce All In PE, a brand-new leadership opportunity launching for the 2026-2027 school year.
What is All In PE?
This is an application-based program where students serve as peer leaders in a Physical Education setting. You will work alongside and support classmates with disabilities who may need extra assistance, fostering a more inclusive environment for everyone.
Why Join?
- Inclusive Community: Help make Gemini even more inclusive for all people!
- Leadership Experience: Develop mentorship skills and lead by example.
- Full Credit: You will receive full credit for Physical Education.
- Complete Curriculum: You will still participate in Health class, ensuring you meet all requirements just like any other PE course.
The Selection Process
This is an important leadership role. Interested students will undergo a two-step process:
- Application: Submit an initial application to share why you want to be part of the program.
- Interview: Selected candidates will participate in an interview to discuss their leadership potential.
- Parent Consent: Parents will be notified if their student was selected to be a peer leader, and to consent to participate in this class.
Mark Your Calendars
There will be a special presentation in Advisory at the beginning of May. Stay tuned for more information on how to apply and join the inaugural "All In" crew!
Are you ready to go "All In"?

The East Maine School District 63 Foundation helps support initiatives at D63 like the FRC Marketplace, Open Gym, and sliding scale fees for Expanded Learning programs. This foundation is entirely volunteer-run and depends on generous donations to continue to support this important work. We need your help to spread the word and come out to support us at the annual EMSD63 Foundation Family Fun Fest happening from May 14-17 at Golf Mill Park! You will even see our very own FRC staff at the First Aid Tent - stop by and say, “hi!”
This is a great fundraiser that helps provide vital support for our D63 community, and we can’t wait to see you there!

Parent Square & Student Square
As a school, we are sending all parent and student updates, newsletters, and reminders using ParentSquare and StudentSquare. You may message any of your child's teachers directly through the app.
Chromebooks
All district-issued Chromebooks use an Internet content filter that complies with the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA). This filter protects and monitors all internet activity, whether students are on or off campus. If a website is blocked at school, it will also be blocked at home. If inappropriate activity or language is detected, school administration will be notified. Parents and students may be contacted to discuss the issue and potential consequences.
Grades
Did you know you can use the Parent Portal to check your child’s grades and assignments for each class? Parents can also choose to receive notifications when changes are made in the grade book. This can be set up through the Parent Portal.
Attendance
If your child is going to be absent, please complete the student form on the Parent Portal by 8:25 a.m. the day of the absence.
PowerSchool Guidance
Please review this link for information regarding the features of PowerSchool.

We are continuing to use Student Conductor to monitor class tardies. We want students to be on time and in class, so they can maximize their learning.
Additionally, this year we will be using the system to help reinforce Chromebook expectations. Chromebooks should be charged to at least 80% and in their case, every day.
For more information regarding Student Conductor, please watch this video. This is the same system that Gemini has been using since the 2024-25 school year.
