Student Chromebook expectations - 6th grade

Dear 6th Grade Students & Families,

Welcome to middle school! Tomorrow, during orientation, you will receive your Chromebook. The technology department is excited to announce that all 6th graders are receiving brand-new touchscreen Chromebooks and protective cases this school year.

To help keep our tech running smoothly, please review these quick guidelines together:

🎨 Personalizing & Protecting Your Device

🟒 YES β€” Allowed! πŸ”΄ NO β€” Not Allowed!
Decorate your CASE: Feel free to put school appropriate stickers and/or drawings on your protective case. No writing or stickers on the actual Chromebook: The device itself must remain completely clean.
Keep your ID clear: Make sure your student ID, name label, and image is 100% visible on the case. Do not cover identifying labels: Never obscure student info or school barcodes with stickers.

πŸ”‹ Daily Tech Habits

  • Charge Every Night: Plug your Chromebook in before going to bed so it arrives at school 100% charged and ready for learning every day.

  • Keep Devices Safe: Always keep your Chromebook inside its protective case.

πŸ› οΈ Repairs & Maintenance

If a device is broken, damaged, or not working properly:

  1. Submit a Helpdesk Ticket immediately to start the repair process.

  2. Devices must remain in working order. Please note that repair fees will be billed via PushCoin as necessary per school policy.
