Dear Gemini Community,

I am thrilled to begin my journey as a Physical Education and Health teacher at Gemini Middle School! The vibrant school culture and diverse backgrounds here create an incredible learning environment, and I couldn’t be more excited to be part of it. My name is Kerry Blanchard, and as a first-year teacher, I bring a fresh perspective and a deep passion for health and wellness.

Before teaching, I worked as an athletic trainer at the high school level, where I discovered my true calling: working with students and guiding them in health and wellness. My goal is to help students find their own healthy passions and to develop lifelong habits that support their well-being. I am also excited to contribute to the strong, well-rounded educational culture that Gemini provides, helping students reach their full potential in all aspects of their lives.

I studied at North Park University in Chicago, earning my Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2016, followed by a Master of Arts in Teaching with a focus on Physical Education and Health (K-12) in 2024.

Outside of school, I love spending time with family and friends, playing pickleball, staying active, and working on endless DIY house projects!

This year, I look forward to learning and growing alongside all of the amazing students at Gemini. While health and wellness are my passions, I am equally committed to creating a classroom environment that gives each student the opportunity to thrive and succeed beyond the classroom. I am excited to be a part of this community and can’t wait for a fantastic school year ahead!
